It is one of the better-protected areas in Stockton. That said, never a bad idea to buy flood insurance especially on the west side of town where floodwaters could be 10-12 feet deep.Alex Breitlernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5211670216140060946.post-38503564893463952122017-01-20T20:11:06.069-08:002017-01-20T20:11:06.069-08:00I can't speak as an expert (I'm a generali...I can't speak as an expert (I'm a generalist in the geology trade), but my understanding is that much of Stockton lies within the 100-year flood plain, so if I lived there, I would strongly consider it. It's best to consult a local consulting geologist, or check with emergency officials for the city of Stockton for their recommendation.Garry Hayeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00531226195147986457noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5211670216140060946.post-76614466215724365602017-01-20T19:58:05.182-08:002017-01-20T19:58:05.182-08:00To: me

The County is much better prepared to handle disaster response now. We learned so much from 97 and 9-11. All those homes south of Carpenter and North of river have been raised due to FEMA funds. So many lives changed. When we finally headed east, crossing the Sacramento "River" felt like crossing an ocean, with no sign of a shore! really impressiveHollishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10788942181934895493noreply@blogger.com
