My office walls are covered with photos I have taken of the Crags. I would be personally devistated if the Crags went away. I have a hike planned for July - already have the plane tickets.Sophtwarehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12011585553096456769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5211670216140060946.post-26072561247776153462011-05-16T20:23:10.366-07:002011-05-16T20:23:10.366-07:00Garry, are you still looking for somebody with pic...Garry, are you still looking for somebody with pictures and comments about Shasta caverns? I have the pictures and could fudge up some comments...
A first comment that fits with this post: the Shasta Caverns are privately owned. That means you have to pay a steep fee to tour the cave.
It's clear that the Republi-can't politicians would love to see all of our state parks privatized, and open only to those who can pay the fees. That would keep the poor and the minorities out.
Needless to say, I object to these ideas.Randy A.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5211670216140060946.post-37081812083147289102011-05-16T17:37:03.460-07:002011-05-16T17:37:03.460-07:00Castle Crags doesn't show up on Ca postcards!?...Castle Crags doesn't show up on Ca postcards!? This is a travesty! It's one of my favorite features along all of I-5... though I haven't been south on much of I-5 (during daylight at least) past the Sacramento portion of the central valley.Lockwoodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05960762797349483760noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5211670216140060946.post-7080881726611729322011-05-16T13:10:16.779-07:002011-05-16T13:10:16.779-07:00Geotripper- thanks for the terrific review of one ...Geotripper- thanks for the terrific review of one of our little known State Parks. You treat its formation and evolution well. Here is one of my attempts to address the phytogeography of the Klamath Region:
http://www.conifercountry.com/region.htmlconifermanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00285760391672587812noreply@blogger.com
