Just a Pretty Rock Exposure

I am giving one more final exam tomorrow, which means I am dreaming of the Colorado Plateau journey I am taking in three weeks instead of tabulating grades. Today's picture is a nicely weathered outcrop of crossbedding structure of the Navajo Sandstone in Zion National Park. The exposure is seen along the Observation Point trail.

Garry, you should be ashamed of yourself. While I know you are longing to go on the summer trip, seems there is a much MUCH more important event happening before that! See you next weekend.

I grant you that next weekend is a very important event, but I have a whole blog for that, and think: with all the chaos in the planning for the wedding, why do you think I am dreaming of escaping? Even if it is with a bunch of students (whom I dearly love, readers...)

Well, soon-to-be congratulations to both of you'all!

Thanks! It's my son tying the knot, I'm the logistics person this week!

I live in SW Colorado and am always dreaming of the canyons on the Plateau. This weekend...Cedar Mesa! and a little amateur archeology and mountain biking.
